Sugar Mama BREAKS into the Top 10
NATIONAL Streaming Charts

My latest project Sugar Mama, premiered on Tubi on January 3 and exceeded all industry expectations! Debuting at #5 in its first week and holding strong at #8 in its second on Variety’s Luminate charts, the film stands alongside titles from Netflix and Max—an unprecedented achievement for a Tubi Original. With no star-driven cast and zero publicity, Sugar Mama defied industry norms, becoming only the second Tubi film ever to sustain a two-week run on the charts. The only other film to do so had a significantly larger budget and a major publicity campaign, making this milestone even more remarkable.

THE BOBBY YAN LECTURESHIP SERIES
IN MEDIA AND SOCIAL CHANGE

In 2019, Tulane University established The Bobby Yan Lectureship Series in Media and Social Change as part of its Trailblazers Initiative, which honors individuals from diverse backgrounds who have made a lasting impact on the university and beyond. Having founded Tulane’s Asian American Student Association and produced a nationally recognized music television show while on campus, I was grateful to see these efforts evolve into a program that continues to inspire future generations.

Since its inception, this lectureship has become a dynamic platform, bringing together visionary filmmakers, producers (including indie producer Christine Vachone of Killer Films as the headliner for the first year), writers, and journalists who are using their work to challenge narratives, ignite meaningful conversations, and create lasting change through their art and work.
